The beauty of insomnia

“In December I started waking up from not being able to sleep at 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. in the morning. And I’d lay my head on the pillow and hear the symphony of a couple of songs and suddenly hear how the production was supposed to be and it wouldn’t leave me alone.”

That fantastic quote is from The Deadbolt’s interview with Esthero in which she opens up about the new album.

And if you’re a fan of Twilight, you should know that she’d “love to be considered by Robert Pattinson for a make out session.”

Wow, what a great article! I am sooo looking forward to Jenny-Bea’s new material! It’s a shame that the writer didn’t mention any new song titles in her in depth article! Does anybody have a tracklisting? And Does anyone know when and how this album going to be available for public purchase? The good news is that the songs seem to be co-produced by Chin Injet of Base is Base fame! And that Esthero can write a song in her sleep! Can’t wait…

The album doesn’t have a full tracklisting as of yet. She’s still in the studio. As confirmed by the article however, “Black Mermaid,” “Go,” and “Everything is Expensive” will be on there.

I can also confirm that a couple of the other songs she’s done live (or just demoed) but hadn’t yet recorded (i.e., since 2005) will likely make the cut.

As far as available for public purchase… it’s far too early to know. She’s not currently signed to a label, which complicates things in that respect (though I’m sure she could easily get a distribution deal if she put out word that she had wrapped the album).

Omgosh! I can’t hardly wait for the new album! I’m hoping it will be a rebirth of Wikked Lil Grrrls meets Breath From Another *fingers crossed*

Oh, and I have been waiting for Esthero to come and do a show in L.A. for some time now… House of Blues Sunset or The Key Club would be awesome!
